FOUR MILE BEACH

Four Mile Beach is unique in many ways, one of which is that the beach sand is firm enough to easily ride on. Check the tides to ensure the current tide is no higher than 2.4 metres (less than 2 is ideal). Next head to the beach and take a ride to the south. This part of the beach is particularly beautiful and wide at low tides. DO NOT SWIM on this end of the beach as it is near the mouth of the Mowbray River, a famous croc breeding area.
